The Tale of the Magic Bottle Tree

Can you keep a secret?

I have a secret in my garden.

Would you like to know what it is?

I'd love to share it with you!

I know you can be trusted with this special knowledge...

You know I have a bottle tree.
As you walk out the back door, down the steps and along the short path..

There it is.

Standing tall and proud.
Showing off its beautiful collection of pretty glass.
In a garden bed of roses, lilliums and other floral delights.

But..

Did you know...

That when the sun starts to go down after its daily journey over this side of the world..

The magic begins!

The rays burst through those glass creations hanging gently in their tree..
Lighting them up like they were the sun themselves!

And while that is a magical sight itself, the real magic is what happens when the sun shines through them.

Only during golden hour.
So you need to be quick!

For when the bottles light up, its time!

Like a clock as such.
Letting you know the moment is right!

Time to make a wish and set it free into the breeze!!

So do not dilly and do not dally, because this moment is fleeting!

Think of your hearts desires, whisper them to the breeze and the Universe will hear you!

Close your eyes..

Breathe in deep..

Feel the magic drifting around your body..

Whisper the words.. I wish....

Cast your wishes into the wind and believe they will come truuuuueee...

Breathe out, open your eyes, and smile knowing the Universe has heard.

Now you can take a moment for yourself.
Just to unwind and breathe easy.
Enjoy the gardens magical gifts.

Roses galore.
Sweet, sweet scents drifting up to your face.
Kissing your cheeks.

So delicate.
Intricate.
But the most fierce of colours!

Take a seat on the grass for a spell.
Under the archway is nice.

There are stone guardians keeping watch at the vegie garden gate to be sure all visitors are comfortable and safe.

Mr 28 has popped in for supper.
He is a regular here and sometimes brings friends.
Its always a pleasure to see them.

But alas, the sun is in its final minutes for the day.
Golden hour is leaving us until its return tomorrow.

Did you make your wish today?
If you didn't think of one in time, there is always tomorrow.
You are always welcome, any time!
I'll make a pot of tea and we can discuss magics and roses and invite our feathery chums.

I dont know how this magic works.

Is it teeny tiny faeries that I cannot see?

Are there witches lurking in the shadows waiting to cast spells of good fortune for all?

Can our infinite Universe simply hear our whispers and know our intentions are pure and sweet?

Im not sure.
Some thing aren't meant to be questioned.
But I am very glad to have stumbled across this fanciful magic and even more pleased that I can share it with you!

So, my friends, keep your wishes locked up tight inside you until the magical hour of bright golden sunshine blasts through the bottles on the tree!

Happy wishes!

Goodnight 🤍🤍🤍

Tea In The Garden

Come in, come in!
Sit with me in the garden and chat a while.
I have stories galore..
Of fun and laughs, nyummy foods, adventures and excitements!

I'll make you some tea, or coffee if you prefer.
Let's find some sweet and savoury treats in the kitchen and bring them to our little table in the back garden.

Spring has burst all around.
Plants of all kinds are reaching for the wispy clouds drifting by.
The birds dart from tree to tree, chasing each other through the leaves, singing their songs.. or yelling at each other, hehe.

My kitty-puss has come to see who is visiting, normally shy but today she must be a bit dazed by the sun and lets you give her ear a rub before she stretches out under the shade of our table.

The bees are too busy for relaxing and chatting.
They know the poppies will not be around much longer.
Lets keep out of their way, enjoy our yummy refreshments and let the tales begin!

I have more pictures to share!
I have been so busy, just like the bees in the poppies.
My heart is so full of spring magic, I have been painting nothing but butterflies!
With sparkle of course, and stars to take you away, dreaming.

My good friend has the butterfly bug in her heart too, and asked me to do something special for a Christmas gift for her friend.

I had the most fun using my new and updated art supplies.

Jewel~tone colours leap from the page.

I love the sentiment and what each piece represents.
Its such an honour to be able to do requests like these.
So thank you, my friends, who believe in my scribbles an support my hearts dreams.

There are delicious yarn threads on the go too!
I've told my boys I would make them each a crocheted blanket.
Son1 has only just decided on a design.
Son2 has asked for a simple camouflage coloured blanket but do you think I can find any of the right type of wool? Uh~uh. So the search continues!
And Son3 drew up his own design, a zigzag rainbow blanket. We worked out a few things, bought the yarn pack, arranged the colour order (omitting the pinks) and Im off again, weaving threads.
I didn't get much of a start going because Boof woke up the morning after the boys went to the city to spend time with their dad and said, "lets go for a holiday and have a look at the jewellers"!
A spontaneous trip? I'M IN!!
A spontaneous trip to have a look for an engagement/commitment ring? IS THIS REAL??
We have always talked and joked about a ring.
We are happy to not get married but I guess I wanted to feel the official commitment.
I tell ya, clothes were thrown in a case and we were out the door in no time at all!

We stayed in a beautiful little flat in a family friends backyard.
It was heaven to sit on that porch overlooking their vegie garden, listening to the birds and warming in the sun.
We visited the local brewery and ate the most delicious pizza!
I soaked up oodles of inspiration from Boof's parents garden.
We even saw a wild turtle!

On my Dad's birthday as a tribute, I donated blood for my first time.
The staff were so lovely and it went very well.
They knew Boof was waiting in the car for me so gave me extra snacks to share with him when I left.
We also went back to the jewellers and decided on a ring, I'll share a picture when it has been made and I recieve it.
I know its not a traditional engagement but romance isn't really Boof's style, and I'm okay with that.
So its official, Boof and I are best friends forever!!!

This beautiful garden is at the primary school across the road from where we stayed.
We had an amazing cooked breakfast at Boof's Mum and Dad's.
Vegan pancakes, fried mushrooms and tomatoes.
It was sooooo good!
Then back in the car for the 5 hour drive home.
I don't like goodbyes and I love that town so much, but I was very much missing my pooch and kitty~puss.

It has been a whirlwind of magical excitement over the last week but I am glad to be home, in my own space, surrounded by my little bits of happy.
I can't wait for the boys to get home tomorrow night.

I hope you enjoyed your tea and treats in the garden.
Did you notice the rose blossoms and dahlias starting to emerge?
Thank you for listening to the tales of my adventures and sharing my excitement.

Come back soooon so we can do it again 🤍🤍🤍
